Check out the Course Introduction Videos on YouTube! The Course Introduction Videos is the project of students in DLSU's Situational Leadership class with the goal of dealing with the problem of the lack of information regarding college courses in the Metro Manila area. Most high school students lack the sufficient knowledge about college life and about the contents of the courses they apply for, which leads to a lot of students eventually being discontented with their college course or getting low grades in courses not meant for them. Furthermore, these bad decisions on the part of students, which stems from the lack of proper information, lead to a lot of course shifting in college, and thus, a waste of money and time. To resolve this highly relevant issue, the Course Introduction Videos project has the goal of informing public and private high school students about what college courses really have in store for them, not limiting their decision-making basis to pamphlets and hear-say. It also aims to motivate high school graduates to pursue college. These Course Introduction Videos will be made by college students and fresh graduates, who have undergone the specific courses and thus, are able to advise younger generations. Videos created through this project will be freely available through the Internet and will be distributed as DVDs to several private and public high schools.
